The results of a new U.S. study proved that women experience more intense pain than men!
Scientists came to this conclusion while examining pain intensity in 72000 adult patients. The results of the study, published in the online edition of the journal “Journal of Pain”, showed that women experience more intense pain regardless of the disease.
The results of the survey are in favor of the previous results which proved that women with fibromyalgia or migraine suffer more intense pain than men with the same health problems. The study also showed that pain intensity in patients with acute sinusitis or neck inflammation is higher in women than in men.
Pain is a protective mechanism of the body. It forces us to seek medical help, and can range from mild and occasional to severe and permanent pain.
