For optimal results, make your own apple cider vinegar using organic apples only!
How to make homemade apple cider vinegar
- Make sure the apples you use are washed and cleaned well. Slice them thinly. For faster results you can use your food processor
- You will also need just a little sugar in case you do not use sweet apples. Use 1% sugar of the amount of apples you use. This step is required to trigger the fermentation, and it will completely disappear once you get the final product
- Use a larger jar
- And a piece of gauze to cover your jar
After you use the food processor, put the apples in the jar. Sprinkle over just a little sugar, pour in some water and cover using the gauze. Store the jar at room temperature, or about 20 °C. In a week or ten days you will be able to feel the scent of vinegar. But, be careful, its smell is super-strong, so you do not want to keep it in your kitchen or anywhere in your apartment. Basements or utility rooms are perfect for this purpose.
Start testing your vinegar after a month. Make sure it is strong enough for your taste. If it is perfect for you, strain and keep the vinegar in sterilized glass bottles.
Your homemade apple cider vinegar is ready for use. Enjoy the purest and healthiest vinegar on Earth!
