7 Natural Remedies For Stuffy Nose Which You Already Have in Your Kitchen

Stuffy nose is one of the most annoying things you can come across during winter. That is actually the thing which makes us hate winter. However, it can be easily treated with ingredients which you have in your household.

Apple cider vinegar
Put 3 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a bowl of hot water. Place your head above the bowl and cover it with a towel. Inhale the steam until the water cools.

Marshmallow root
This procedure is the same as with the apple cider vinegar. Put marshmallow root pieces in a bowl of hot water and you know the rest.

Salty water
Put one tablespoon of salt in half a liter of previously warmed water. Use syringe or any other thing that can help you to easily insert some of the water in one of your nostrils. Next, try to remove the water through your other nostril. This method is great for dealing with stuffy nose but it can also help you in case you have damaged mucosa.

Horseradish
Make a mixture using ground horseradish and a tablespoon of honey. Place this mixture onto your tongue. Inhale deeply 10 times before you swallow the mixture.

Mint essential oil
Put several drops of mint essential oil onto a handkerchief. Place the handkerchief under your nose and inhale 10 times. The symptoms should soothe afterwards.

Garlic
Chew on some garlic if you do not mind its taste and harsh smell, which you should inhale. You can spit the garlic afterwards. If you do not want to chew it, you can make a sandwich with a clove of garlic. Eat the sandwich and you will feel better.

Ginger
Add some ginger in a salad or any other meal. If you do not ginger’s taste, mix it with a tablespoon of honey. With or without honey, place the ginger onto your tongue and deeply inhale 10 times before you swallow it.
